I've had these shortbread cookies on my mind for MONTHS. I finally scooped up these beautiful edible flowers from the farmers market and holy guacamole I am IN LOVE with how pretty they are! These cookies are super simple, super healthy (GF, Vegan, and refined sugar free), and are sure to wow your friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups gluten free flower
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup butter flavored coconut oil
1/4 cup almonds finely chopped
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/8 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Combine all ingredients into a bowl until it forms a dough
Scoop balls of dough onto a cookie sheet and flatten with the bottom of a cup
Gently press edible flowers into cookies
Bake for 10 minutes
Cool and enjoy!
